• Engineered for offshore saltwater fishing, the Kapstan Elite Spinning Reel is KastKing’s top-tier 100% Waterproof fishing reel with an IPX6 rating. It features up to 15 EverSeal rubber rings to keep water out of the main gear, and the KastKing Intrusion Shield System includes labyrinth-style greased sealing grooves for reduced rotational resistance and a water-tight seal.
• This premium saltwater spinning reel is equipped with a powerful braking force for reeling in large fish. The 3000/4000 sizes have an ultra-smooth triple-disc carbon fiber drag system with 30lbs max drag, while the 5000/6000 sizes have a quad-disc carbon fiber drag system with 40lbs max drag. The 8000 size has a special double drag system with 55lbs max drag, perfect for catching big game fish.
• Constructed with a max-strength CNC aluminum frame, the reel also features a carbon fiber rotor for reduced weight in the 3000/4000 sizes, and a CNC Aluminum Rotor for extra strength in the 5000/6000/8000 sizes. The solid aluminum power handle and knob provide incredible cranking power, making it the ideal spinning reel for offshore sport-fishing, deep-sea game fishing, and blue water fishing.
• Each Kapstan Elite reel is equipped with 6 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings for smooth operation in rough conditions, as well as one high-strength polymer roller bearing and one 8-pin stainless steel one-way bearing to prevent the flywheel from reversing.
• The reel features a best-in-class HRB 90 high strength aerospace alloy pinion gear and manganese brass gear for extreme durability and smooth operation. The heavy-duty gears are 20% more durable than Aluminum and 95% more durable than zinc alloys. The high-capacity CNC aluminum spool has a braid-ready structure, eliminating the need for back braiding when spooling.
• For the size 3000/4000 reels, you can manually close the bail by turning the handle after making a cast, to reduce line twist. However, the size 5000/6000 & 8000 reels require manual closure of the bail to begin the retrieve.
• Please note that turning the handle will not close the bail automatically, as this is a performance feature and not a defect in the design. Simply make your cast and manually close the bail to begin your retrieve.
